Beneteau Oceanis 361

Built from 1998 to 2003, the Oceanis 361 and Clipper 361 was the model which replaced the very successful and long-running Oceanis 351 model. Designed by Jean Berret and Olivier Racoupeau, the aim was to produce a boat which could serve both the charter and family cruiser market.

The Oceanis 361 was built with a choice of two or three sleeping cabin layouts, and with shallow winged fin or deeper bulbed fin keel options. There was also a less common and more expensive twin-ruddered centreboard version. The standard engine was either a Yanmar 3GM30 or Volvo 2030, driving through a moulded shaft log

The three cabin layout has up to four double berths, if the saloon table conversion is used, plus one shorter single berth on the port side of the saloon. The two-cabin version has two less berths.

in the table centre, where a wine bottle holder is fitted in the fixed keel versions.

The Oceanis Clipper series yachts from Beneteau all feature extensive wooden trim below, and in some versions have cane locker fronts for ventilation

Many of these yachts are fitted with in-mast furling for the main, although a standard mainsail was an option. Control lines are led aft to the winch on the port side of the coachroof
