The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 32 was built
from 2002 to 2005, with minor modifications year to
year. It replaced the Sun Odyssey 32.2, and was in turn
updated to become the Sun Odyssey 32i from around 2006.
Designed by Phillipe Briand and the Jeanneau in-house
design team, she has her maximum beam carried well aft,
giving a very good aft cabin. The same hull was used
(with a deeper keel and bigger rig) for the Sun Fast
32 cruiser-racer. A special version was also built for
the Sunsail charter company. Engines were usually 18
hp Yanmars, though other engines including Nanni were
fitted to a few boats.
Two keel options were offered, a bulbed fin keel with
a single spade rudder, or a very shallow winged keel
with centreboard and twin rudders, this last variant
being inevitably more expensive. |
