Yachtsnet's
archive of boat details and pictures
|
| |
The following information and photographs are
displayed as a service to anyone researching yacht types. Details
and photographs are normally based on one specific yacht, but could
be a compilation. No reliance should be placed on other yachts of
the same class being identical. Where common variations exist,
we have endeavoured to indicate this in these archive details.
The price guide covers the normal ranges of age and condition. Exceptional
boats, whether good or bad, may fall outside these guidelines. |

The Barbican
33 is a classic Maurice Griffiths cruising design, with a
long shallow fin keel. Two options were offered, twin steel
bilge plates, making her a triple-keeler able to take the
ground upright, or a steel centreboard offering shoal draught
with better windward performance |

The Barbican 33 is based on the earlier Maurice Griffiths
designed "Atlantic Clipper" hull, but with a much
more traditional and attractive coachroof. They were
first built in 1979, and the photos here are from two Mk II
Barbicans built in 1987 and 1990. Barbican Yachts offered
a semi-custom interior design service, with various options
for layout and finish |
