Yachtsnet's archive of boat details and pictures

The following information and photographs are displayed as a service to anyone researching yacht types. Details and photographs are normally based on one specific yacht, but could be a compilation. No reliance should be placed on other yachts of the same class being identical.  Where common variations exist, we have endeavoured to indicate this in these archive details.  The price guide covers the normal ranges of age and condition. Exceptional boats, whether good or bad, may fall outside these guidelines.

The Albin Nova is a 1982 Peter Norlin design for Albin, and is a fast cruiser-racer, with clean lines and an excellent 40% ballast ratio.  She has Albin's usual high build and interior fit-out quality construction, the model remaining in production for many years, from 1981 until the late 1990s.  The Albin 99 Nova, Albin Nova and Albin Nova 33 are all essentally the same yacht.  Later models were produced by Express Production AB of  Sweden.

Conceived as a fast cruiser rather than an all-out racer, the Nova offers excellent conventional accommodation, with forecabin, saloon berths and a double quarterberth aft of the chart table.

The accommodation is nicely fitted out in teak and teak-faced ply, with a very conventional and practical layout
