A modern styled small
family cruiser with good accommodation and sailing performance,
this Gib'Sea 84 is generally in very nice condition, has a good
cruising inventory, and has recently had new standing rigging and
a new genoa. She represents a lot of cruising ability for the money,
and is for sale now only as the owner has his eyes on a larger boat.

Gibert Marine was founded in 1972, and through
the 1970s and 1980s built a wide range of small cruisers in
direct competition with Beneteau, Jeanneau and Dufour. Gib'Seas
are well built and generally offer spacious hulls with relatively
simple fit-outs. The company was taken over by Dufour in the
mid 1990s, which now produces a newer, larger range under
the Gib'Sea name.
Designed by Michel Joubert and Bernard Nivelt, and built
through most of the 1980s, the Gib'Sea 84 was a typical stylish
and fairly fast small cruiser in the French style. The model
was replaced by the Gib'Sea 282 in around 1988.
The Gib'Sea 84 was built with fin, twin bilge or lift keel
options, this yacht having the fin keel.

Below: The Volvo diesel has run approx
750 hours, and had the gearbox drive splines modified in 2006 as
a precautionary measure (failure here is a well known problem with
Volvo 2002 series engines - the modification completely fixes the
problem)
This is a well looked after family cruising yacht, packing remarkably
spacious accommodation into a compact overall length. The standing
rigging was replaced in 2006, and a new genoa fitted.
