A modern family cruiser with twin aft cabins, this Bènèteau Oceanis Clipper 361 offers good cruising performance with a very spacious interior, including a very large heads compartment. This is the quite rare lift keel version, with twin rudders, making this a very versatile cruising boat, and allowing the use of cheaper and more readily available drying moorings. Price reduced as the owners have identified the bigger boat they want to buy, and are keen to proceed.

Keel type

Shallow iron winged fin keel with twin rudders

Built from 1998 to 2003, the Oceanis Clipper 361 was the model which replaced the very successful and long-running Oceanis 351 model. Designed by Jean Berret and Olivier Racoupeau, the aim was to produce a boat which could serve both the charter and family cruiser market.

The Oceanis 361 was built with a choice of two or three sleeping cabin layouts, and with shallow winged fin or deeper bulbed fin keel options, plus an option of centreboard plus twin rudders. The standard engine was either a Yanmar 3GM30 or Volvo 2030, driving through a moulded shaft log

The keel is a shallow winged fin, from which a centreboard lowers to increase the draught. The hull is designed to take the ground if required, supported by the three points of the keel and the twin rudders, which have protective shoes on the bases. This yacht is fitted with a Brunton Autoprop variable pitch feathering propeller

Owned by a group of three very experienced owners, she is for sale now as they want to move up to another larger Beneteau Oceanis - a 41-footer
