The Atlantic Clipper 36 hull was designed by Maurice Griffiths for Philips of Dartmouth in around 1968. Philips marketed the boat from 1968 to 1973 as the Atlantic Clipper. The hull moulds were then taken over by Barbican yachts of Plymouth, and used for the Barbican 33 hull. This hull was one of the last out of Philips yard, and was completed slowly by the present owner. She was finally launched in 1998, and has since spent every winter and several summers ashore under cover. After the last two years ashore, she was relaunched in July 2017, and by the end of the month will be in Cornwall.
