Twin iron bilge keels with skeg-hung rudder

The Cobra 750 is a 1977 design by David Feltham, who also designed the other yachts in the Cobra range, and the very similar Seawolfs.

The Cobra 750 is a modern-looking, very beamy yacht, the large beam giving very spacious accommodation for her length of 25 ft.

Most Cobra 750s built were twin-keelers, as is the yacht for sale here, although fin keel versions were also produced. The bilge keels were well designed, and provide good windward performance.

The hulls were moulded by Cobramold, and fitted out by Cobra Yachts of Hayling Island.

Photographs July 2008

Above: The saloon has a double berth conversion with the table top removed.

Left: The original 12 hp Petter MiniTwin engine was replaced in 2007 with a 16 hp Beta diesel

This is a really thoroughly 'sorted' example of these popular small cruisers with the flexibility of mooring offered by a bilge-keeler.
