The Oceanis 311 Clipper
is a modern small cruiser with good accommodation and performance.
The lift keel makes this a particularly versatile boat, allowing
use of cheaper drying moorings, and extending the cruising range.
This 1999 example is very well equipped, with radar, chartplotter
and heating, plus a full cockpit 'camper' style cover, and has obviously
been very well looked after - this boat really is in very nice condition
indeed....

The Bènèteau Oceanis Clipper
311 was introduced at the London Boat Show in January 1998,
and features the same level of finish and equipment as others
in the "Clipper" series of yachts. Designed
by Groupe Finot, she is based on the basic hull design of
the "Figaro" and First 31.7 racing classes, and
hence offers good performance as well as a quite luxurious
standard of fit-out. Production continued until 2003.
This is one of the rarer lifting keel versions, with twin
rudders. When lowered the lift keel gives a sailing draught
of 7' 1", considerably deeper than the fin keel version
of the same boat, with more ballast than the fixed keel version
to compensate for the shallower fixed fin. The toed-out
twin rudders mean that one is usually near vertical - and
hence working very efficiently whilst sailing. The hull is
designed to sit upright when aground supported by the winged
stub fin keel and the twin rudders.

The Oceanis 311 has a large aft
cabin (although this aft cabin is not shown in these photos due
to an oversight! )

The centreboard lowers from the stubby winged iron fin, and give
over 7 ft draught when down. The twin rudders have protective
shoes on their bases for grounding. The yacht is designed to sit
on the three points of keel and twin rudders
