Designed by Peter Williams of the Buchanan design office, this yacht is a simply beautiful one-off classic cruiser-racer. Although from Buchanan, she is not quite typical of Buchanan designs, being fuller and firmer bilged. Built to very high standards, she has been beautifully maintained by the same owner for the last 25 years. She was re-engined with a new Beta diesel in 2001, and has excellent sails.

She is planked with iroko for the lower five planks, and mahogany above, bronze fastened onto rock elm frames with bronze floors and hanging knees. She has a laid teak deck, which is now painted.

Photographs May 2007

Built in 1973, she is an unusually new traditional wooden yacht, and must have been extremely expensive when built. She has been beautifully looked after, and cruised extensively by her present owner, who after 25 years is looking to downsize

The galley is well equipped, and there is a front-opening refrigerator fitted under the chart table (hidden under a varnished wooden door that matches the rest of the joinery). Aft of the chart table is a quarter berth

The 4-cylinder freshwater cooled Beta diesel was installed in 2001

These three photos of the boat ashore were taken in November 2007, a couple of days after she was hauled out - this is the 'end of season' condition! An all over cover was about to be put in place for the winter.
