The Westerly Konsort was designed by Laurent Giles as a mid-sized boat between the 26 foot Centaur and the Longbow/Berwick/Pentland 31 foot range. She was introduced in 1979, and remained in production until 1992/93, with over 800 built.

The Konsort rapidly overtook the larger boats in popularity, as with 15 inches more beam she offered virtually as much space in a cheaper package. From the mid-80s however, prices increased significantly, and by 1992 the boat was selling at over £50,000, and becoming uncompetitive with cheaper imports.

Early Konsorts were fitted with Volvo engines and a fold-down saloon table on the bulkhead, but, later boats had Bukh engines and a central fixed table.

As standard, the Konsort is a stiff boat that is often regarded as slightly undercanvassed in light winds, although overall she is not slow.

The heads compartment has a pull-out washbasin, and shower, with hot and cold water. Opposite the heads is a large hanging locker space.

For sale now only due to a bereavement, this is a well equipped and well looked after example of this deservedly popular class of small cruiser. The only obvious work needed is some cosmetic tidying up of the headlinings in forecabin and saloon.
