A fast cruiser-racer, this Sigma 35 has the optional deeper lead keel, and is a very comfortable cruiser when you are not racing. She has a good inventory including 3DL racing sails as well as cruising sails, and the interior is well-finished, spacious and comfortable, whilst being laid out well for serious seagoing. She has lots of new gear, mostly fitted in 2006, and is completely ready to cruise or race. The owner is looking to purchase larger.

The Sigma 35 was designed in 1989/90 as a larger version of the very successful Sigma 33, but with a more comfortable interior. To that end the design was a collaboration between David Thomas, who drew the hull form and rig, and Bill Dixon, who designed the interior.

This particular Sigma 35 has a deep lead keel, which although lighter than the standard iron keel, improves the righting moment by 15%, and had a thorough refit, including new rudder bearings, and lots of new gear. prior to the RWYC 2006 Round Britain and Ireland Race, which she completed, placing fifth in class.

The Sigma 35, even in standard form, is fast, particularly to windward, and the interior is a nice compromise between pure cruising comfort and seagoing practicality, for example long straight settee berths with leecloths, and an L-shaped galley with good handholds.

to make berths 6' 8" long. There are also leecloths in the aft cabin. Saloon headroom is 6' 1" by the galley and chart table, dropping forward to 5' 7" forward, and just over 5 ft in the forecabin.
